In the second g5 comic she stripped ponies of magic so they wouldn’t fight forgetting that makes them sitting ducks (And concentrating it in gems that could easily fall into the wrong hands) and was something akin to what old Starlight would’ve tried to do. She deserves this. I don’t like saying comics are canon until proven otherwise but whatever.
