i like black pinkie pie because the hair change makes it all make sense. Baby Pinkie has frizzy poofy hair like a fro, but when she is a filly on the farm, her hair is flat to fit in with every other pony and conforming didn’t make her happy on the rock farm. Black women straighten their hair all the time to fit in with white people, and that fakeness doesn’t always feel good. I feel pinkie pie’s cutie mark story vibes with the experience of black girls cause her story is all about doing what makes you feel happy and being yourself regardless of how others expect you to look plays into that a lot.
