6 or 7 is mine, (as cliché as that sounds) but granted, I haven’t played many FF games yet.
I don’t have a STEAM account, nor a computer to use it. Still, the game works fine on my phone. So I don’t regret the purchase.
The updated graphics aren’t bad either, and keep the retro 2D look, and Mode-7 effect for the world map screen.
But even then, some abilities were nerfed since the GBA version. Damage doesn’t scale as much when dual-wielding and using flurry, and dual-wield flurrying doesn’t work as well with status effect weapons as it used to.
Also, the Time Mage quickleak trick for defeating Neo Shinryu and the Chaos Cannon trick to skip the final boss’ second form were broken.

I dunno, I’ve enjoyed many games on mine. Most recently Final Fantasy 5. (The official remake off the Google Play store) and it plays perfectly fine.
Also, enjoyed Sonic, Minecraft, and Goat Simulator on it.

FFV is my personal favorite in the series.
You should play it on Steam with the Anti-tile seam reshade and border fix.

I guess there’s MAME ports, if that counts.
