Oh, so people like you are why they have to inconveniently hide games behind glass cases, or behind the counter now. :P
(One time the guy couldn’t find the key. so I couldn’t get a copy of Wario Ware on release day.)
I blame you! (j/k) Nice BNA Michiru avatar BTW.

I wanted one so bad and someone just left it at the grocery store. I saw an opportunity and took it. The SP Mania… it changes you…
Why did you do that?
both gba’s i accidentally left in a vehicle for several months only to find out that the dark grey one survived whereas the blue one the battery swelled and leaked. so now even if i put the battery out of the grey gba into the blue one, it still won’t turn on. it’s completely dead.

Yeah, I remember that. Made me happy when “Pizza Guy”/Mac said he loved “Pilotwings.” I also like his “Toejam & Earl” shirt.
It was on James and Mike Mondays.
I never played the SNES one,but both seem to have problems. In the GB,Richard slides too much, and the camera follows you, which is especially irritating when you’re trying to make a tricky jump.
You start with two stage choices, the other is one of those downscrolling screens. You have to jump your way down and not get caught by the top. It’s difficult even if you have it memorized, because if you jump down and a platform isn’t visible, you die.
Didn’t James Rolfe (and special guest, the Pizza Guy) talk about Pagemaster games? Or was that only the SNES version? I need to go back and watch.

No it’s a limited edition color.
Never seen one colored like that before, was it customized?
I liked the NES style one, made to promote the “Classic NES Series” line of GBA games. (Honestly, they should’ve put two NES games on each cartridge, at least.)
Yeah, I miss mine, a relative lost it…
Still have Super Gameboy & a GBA to play themthough. (but the L&R buttons oddly don’t work anymore, and I took good care of it)
I also have alot of GB & GBC games on my 3DS. (Many I got from Eshop sale discounts, and Club Nintendo/MyNintendo discounts too.)
My favorite system is My Game Boy. Partially because it’s the only system that has yet to break down on me.
Cool.
I honestly feel the original Gameboy is an oftentimes neglected system. You rarely see game sites put it on the same level as consoles, and even Nintendo themselves barely regard it, and ignored it’s 30th anniversary last year.
In fact, halfway through the 3DS’s lifespan, they even turned down a third-party developer’s request to add an old Gameboy game of their’s to Eshop/Virtual Console, because they stopped doing GB VC games. (Not to mention, Japan had VC GB, NES, and Even TurbografX games that never made it to the US/Euro/ect. Eshop.)
I would’ve assumed it would be due to low sales, but if you look at the amount of star ratings that Gameboy games get on the Eshop, even the obscure/niché ones like “Alleyway” (love it btw) sold very well. Some even better then the main 3DS games.
The last Gameboy games released on 3DS, the DK Land trilogy, and Pokémon Crystal sold well too, so it’s like Nintendo just didn’t care or were too busy with newer games.
In fact, Nintendo admitted that “being busy with new games/projects” was why they barely updated the Virtual Console service, and Nintendo Online’s NES/SNES library. (So I’m not holding my breath for Gameboy games being added to Switch.) Though, I understand that new games should take more priority over old.
Rumor has it, we might get N64 games soon on Switch Eshop, or Nintendo Online.
Sorry for the mini rant. lol

Worms is really fun. Once you get used to it,though it’s easy. Still fun.
After getting my bearings, I looked up to see a young boy, with a Gameboy Advance SP Blue Edition in his tiny little hands. I had always dreamed about owning a Gameboy Advance SP Blue Edition, but my family could barely even afford gold.
He looked up at me with those big, vibrating eyes, his two lower teeth quivered in confusion.
“Ma ma mah!” he said softly.
This was my chance.
I ran at him screaming, stomping my feet, scrambling his brain in sheer confusion. I shoved him as hard as I could and grabbed his Gameboy Advance SP Blue Edition, and I ran out the door.
I leaped back down the street towards my home. I pulled open the door by its BIG SMELLY HANDLE, and I let myself in quietly. I snuck past my many parents and shut myself into my room.
I had made it.
Finally, a Gameboy Advance SP Blue Edition to call my own.
I will have to keep it hidden from my family.
I shan’t ever allow them to know.
I see. (Did “Worms” translate to GB well?) And I agree SMB Deluxe is pretty good, (missed that one in my spiel) once you get used to the smaller screen resolution, (some argue that makes it better for a portable) and lack of wind for the “Lost Levels/For Super Players” stages.
Pagemaster is awful. The controls are slippery and the layout is confusing. I just meant that’s what I’ve been playing recently.
My favorite game on the Game Boy is Super Mario Bros Deluxe.
@Dex Stewart
“The Pagemaster?” Is that a joke, or is it really a good game? (The SNES one sucked.)
Give me Wario Land, Mole Mania, Kirby, Revenge of the Gator, Link’s Awakening, Castlevania, GB Donkey Kong ’94, and Pokémon any day.

What games have you been playing lately?

Not counting unofficial handheld emulation devices, of course. Dragonbox Pyra is sending out notifications that it’s almost ready to ship.
