The fish-poines haven’t given up looking for whoever or whatever took their cart. They are split up, slowly walking around town looking for anything abnormal. She notices a new dot among them. Probably the second big-headed guard. She supposes she could wait for the heat to die down, get everything prepared. It’s easy enough for Mulberry to find the ingredients for a bomb made of lantern oil. She had heard something similar from news articles about rioters and revolutionaries. It’s something like a bottle filled with gas and stuffed with a propellant-soaked rag as a wick. One lights the end, and then tosses it, causing the bottle to shatter and spill flaming gasoline everywhere. She could just replace the gasoline with lantern oil, right?
The mare gathers the ingredients for it over to the sink in Antoine’s apartment. The thing is sort of scarily easy to make. The mare then has a thought. A gasoline bomb might be a good way to set something big ablaze quickly and keep it burning for a while. Undoubtedly it would work on Emilia, but could these be used to kill Begonia? It would certainly be easier to use than the big lantern oil cans. And it would let her keep her distance from the hulking monster. It might try fighting back if she tries to set something elaborate up.
She could on the other hand, continue to try and translate the notes Antoine left behind. So far it’s been about spells, which would be useful if she could use magic. Perhaps some part of it will speak on using rune magic that she could find useful, especially if it’s talking about earth ponies using it.
