Buckball used to be an earthpony sport. Before Braeburn managed to get a pegasus and a unicorn to join his team.
The moment a unicorn could hold the bucket out of reach for a earthpony Defender the game got busted because you needed air mobility to defend the bucket.
Lucky for Team Starlight they got Maud as a kicker that won every kick off in their first match and scored even with the bucket close to earth. Earthpony tactic messed the Pegasus up that could not catch the ball Right above the Ground as they were Training catching with their wings out of the air.Such an off-meta Play was to much for the first Opponent ,but the princesses got time to study them.
your current filter.I think Luna is massively overrated and that the other Princesses deserve a chance to shine

in reality they never played against the cmc, they played against the pincess in the semifinal. the third place was left to the one who had more votes.
the funny thing is that the pillars lost against the cmc

What I wanted to ask was how Starlight and her team managed to get to third place when they don’t even HAVE a pegasus on their team… then I remembered that it’s Starlight.
I doubt anyone really cared about the other Princesses…
