This is blazy. It is the little spirit of the hearthfire. They are quite secretive, so few are able to see them. If you do not offend them and if you will feed them sometimes with any goodies, throwing treats into the fire, the blazes will respond with good and will not allow you to freeze, even if you forget to throw firewood.  
They appeared with the development of pony willages. One day breezies went to migrate from pld homes to another place. The wind was very strong, and some breezies lost their way. They found the pony settlement and entered into one of the houses. Breezy never seen fire before. Bright light of the fire attached them, and they flew into the hearth. There they remained to live, turning into blazes.
