I always thought that was the point. If people wanted to know Tirek’s backstory, they could go watch the G1 movie. Otherwise they didn’t actually care.
This will certainly end with Tirek being jealous of someone, most likely Scorpan.
this is probably a good deal before the events of the comic… tirek was once scorpan’s friend, after all.
