Carving the runes into the horseshoe is rather straightforward, and the spell enchants with no problems. The horseshoe doesn’t seem to do anything though, so for now the mare moves onto the watch.
Mulberry thinks the carvings would be cool on the clock face, but since it’s made of glass she doecides it’s probably a better idea to carve it onto the back. Once it’s finished and enchanted she notices some changes in the clock. It starts ticking, and she checks the front. The arms of the clock are moving, but not in any sort of particular manner. As she watches the minute hand lazily sways clockwise, then darts back a few hours, only to methodically stop on each hour in turn.
The mare puts the clock down. You know, just in case.
