Royalty and/or leaders in our world do in fact perform gestures of greeting to eachother. The Queen of England has repeatedly curtsied towards other members of the royal family. President Obama bowed to the Emperor of Japan.
Stop being butthurt.
You always bow to royalty, even if you’re royalty.
Because the writers felt like they needed to give Twilight more legitimacy for the title of Princess. So they took a character they figured best represents the title and had her bow down to her student.
I suppose this is what happens when a show is guided by sales figures, not the creator’s vision.
I suppose, but in those cases there was really a sense of the immenseness of what the hero just accomplished. What Twilight did in this episode just doesn’t feel as big as what she had already accomplished several times.
bout the same as an Emperor bowing to a pesant girl for saving all of China. Or a king bowing a group of hobbits for helping save the world.
