Our toungue says it is vegetable, but the reality of botany says otherwise.
Hmm…
Knowledge is knowing that a tomato is a fruit
Wisdom is not putting a tomato in a fruit salad
Philosophy is wondering if Ketchup is actually a smoothie
Botanically there’s no such thing as a vegetable. “vegetable” is purely a culinary term, and a very weird one. Culinarily, pumpkins are vegetables, however botanically the big orange bit that you actually eat is a fruit. Because names are confusing and contrary. Funnily enough the same is true of tomatoes (kitchen classes them as a vegetable, but botanically they’re a fruit.)
high fiber
good for pony digestion
carry on, horsewife
Okay but punpkins are sweet. They’re fruit. They’re sticky and sickly. You wouldnt eat it in a salad with carrots and lettuce. You use it like you would apples to make pies and… Other things. It’s not easten much, despite being so popular, but anyone that’s tasted should realise it’s a fruit. It looks like a fruit. It is by technicality also a fruit. It walks like a fruit, it talks like a fruit. Calling a pumpkin a vegetable feels like some meme I’m too old to get. It’s just so so so far from the sensible conclusion to come to.
She likes pumpkins raw, like Gollum eats rabbits.
The same reason you’d call any vegetable, of course.
To be more serious, I was making the culinary distinction between sweet (fruit) and savory (vegetable) foods.
Seriously speaking:
The official criteria for something to be a “fruit” is that it has a skin, flesh, and seeds. Any other part of a plant is thus a vegetable.
(and yes, that does mean pumpkins, squash, gem squash, and green beans are all technically fruits)
Edited
Anything that you take off of a living plant without killing the plant itself is botanically a “fruit.” Any time you remove and eat the entire plant, like celery, potatoes, beets… that’s a vegetable.
A pumpkin is an protein, we all know this
Because… a pumpkin is a vegetable?
Or are you going to come and tell me it’s a fruit?
Why would you call a pumpkin a vegetable?

I think she’s on Richard’s left. The camera direction just changes.
Brownie Bun is a master of deception.
Yeah, that’s just Pumpkin Pie that Brownie dislikes. Maybe she’d be OK with one without the spices, though?
Edited
Pumpkin pie. Which does not taste the same as the vegetable.
That was TJ using her as a mouthpiece.
