Also we don’t really know if they needed negative energy to survive. It could be to maintain their power, not their bodies.
 
 
In the movie their power is described like this.
 
“The sirens were three beautiful but dangerous creatures who had the power to charm ponies with their music. But to maintain this power, they had to feed on the negativity and distrust of others. The more of this negative energy they consumed, the stronger their voices became, and the farther they could spread their dark magic.”
 
Now to add to that we have the comics and when they first arrived in the human world Aria stated that this was a world without magic to which Adagio responded that there was a whisper of magic left and it was just enough to keep them singing.
 
It seems most likely that feeding refers only to their magic, not their bodies.

What :\ Disord changed because of Fluttershy, and EoG definialty didn’t kill Tirek :\ Well, they the defeated Tirek by Rainbow Power, but it came from same source as Elements. So yeah again - Elements don’t kill.

Luna, Sunset Shimmer, and Discord all got hit by the elements of harmony at some point, and they all became more likeable people afterwards. (not 100% sure if it changed Discord much)
 
If I got hit by the elements of harmony, I’d probably be more all around friendly and start doing charity work.
 
Queen Chrysalis and her army were forcibly ejected from Canterlot by Shining Armor and Cadance’s love magic. King Sombra got blown apart by Cadance and the crystal ponies with that Crystal Heart thing. He was pretty spooky so I guess I’d forgive them for that.
 
It would make the cartoon too predictable, but if the mane 6 used the Elements of Harmony on everyone, including Starlight Glimmer and Diamond Tiara, they’d have even more friends.
 
If only there was some giant orbital cannon that could hit everyone with the friendship rainbow at once. Whoever survives would be super nice afterwards :D
