In fact that in furry fandom is no division into TRUE FURS and NOT TRUE FURS. Because furries are not tied to any product of the mass media, be it books, films, cartoons, etc. You shouldn’t know a lore of any mass media products to be a true. You should only make your fursona and have a skills in artworks, poetry, lyrics, music, literature, fursuiting and another things. Rather than a brony.

Here’s the single most significant difference between a brony and a furry: (NSFW example, obviously)  
Call a furry a dogfucker, and they’ll greet you with an impassioned ten-page essay explaining why bestiality is wrong and give summaries of why harassment campaigns are good for tracking down suspected loopholes; accuse a brony of making love to a Clydesdale and they’ll give you an equally indignant response of, “What kind of useless turbonormie do you think I am? My dick only rises for the fjord horse.”
