Right making her going back to normal without a very good reason won’t do it for Twilicorn supporters, yet at the same time keeping her that way won’t do it for old twilight fans.
 
We can hardly imagine her being the same as before not just because of the alicorn thing but the huge coronation parade that made her official in front of everybody to make sure they’ll think about her status everytime they’ll meet her.

I don’t think so. The season finale implied that the changes were going to be much bigger, and Celestia even said that she was her friends’ teacher now. If they find some stupid excuse to move her back into the Ponyville library even though she’s a freaking PRINCESS now, this show really has jumped the shark.

Either the change is bullshit other than ruining her character design and making her too powerful, or Tara is just lying to us again like she’s done before, which would mean they are either radically altering her character, or there is an awesome character arc coming where Twilight decides she can’t be a princess anymore and goes back to normal.
 
I wish it was the latter, but then again, I know who is really running this show (Hasbro).
