for example this person under anonymous. a fluttercord picture which they dont belong under and proceeding to attack me for standing up for my own opinions. and trying to “demoralize” my ship to my face for no reason other than they hate it so that creates hate in their hearts. and ultimately thinking they change things.

I’m not gonna say everyone is perfect and nobody makes mistakes but its horse crap. I ship fluttercord okay. If I want to go under fluttercord stuff that I SHIP with other fluttercord shippers ang genuinely enjoy it, why should i see some salty anti shipper under the comment sections getting all pissy about it. Why should people genuinely stop what they’re doing and enjoying just for some person who wants to try and ruin the fun for everyone. Like, theres a thing called filtering tags. If someone thinks they REALLY can NOT control themselves from being a dick under people differing opinions. Than maybe just MAYBE, filtering tags is for that person? It takes literally 2 seconds. Just go in your filtered tags, create you own filter tags and filter OUT “discoshy” tag or whatever ship or other tag people hate. Takes like 2 seconds and spares their eyes from the fastly god aweful “different opinions” of other people.

I agree and disagree on some levels and aspects. If you go under a fluttercord thing actively to tell them that “they’re wrong for it” you’re probably going to deserve to get what’s coming to you because it isnt about disagreeing, its about learning to walk away and let people enjoy their own thing instead of butting into their business and telling them they shouldnt do this or that and how “wrong” the ship is to their face. Now that’s just bullying and that’s stupid considering people can filter their tags if they dont enjoy something.
In the OTHER hand, you are right, there are some people out there who do this in any shipping community. But they do not represent the ENTIRE party of those people.
I can see where your coming from in how it can come off as hypocritical but it is worth to note that they were already evil and had tried/wanted to take over equestria even before s9. While a arrogant jerk and he can be wrathful hes still ultimately one of the good guy so if the villains would have shown any kind of remorse then he wouldn’t have helped punish them. He let Chrysalis go in the S6 finale despite her having kidnapped fluttershy, he suggested the stoning only after the princesses stated there wishes to punish them and because the villains refused to change and had attempted murder on him and his friends multiple times. What discord did by stoning them was Tvtropes “Pay Evil Unto Evil” which doesn’t make him evil himself but is a very antihero act, of doing cruel things to cruel evil people as a form of justice. It was a group decision made by all the main characters not just discord.
Okay, sure, I can buy the idea that his heart was in the right place. (Only after he lost his powers and was weak and vulnerable, but with his powers, he’s arrogant as all-get out, but I digress)
But at the very least Discord should not have decided the mean 3’s fate. Considering he gathered them, that’s what feels hypocritical. I’m not saying they deserved no punishment or instant forgiveness, but just something else, and something not decided about by Discord.
If everything in the finale was the same, but the stone scene didn’t happen, I wouldn’t even be here. Discord could have his happy ending with Fluttershy. But until I see any tangible evidence that the stone sentencing was actually undone eventually, I’ll continue to feel bitter towards him. God I really need to move on…
Not to mention, sense he lost his powers, he lost his ability to teleport, and had to hoof it on foot all the way from the bad guy’s lair to Pony land, and that wore him out pretty bad. As you said, the main characters called him out for his actions, not to mention he was imprisoned by the bad guys, so I think he had plenty of reprocussions, and learned his lesson, so he’ll never try to do something like this again.
I honestly think it’s hypocritical that some fans want the other bad guys to get off free for their actions, (whom were encouraging pony-racism to divide everybody, betrayed their “master” for their own gain, stole power for themselves, attacked Equestria, tried to kill the Manes including Discord, stole the princesses’ power, blew up Canterlot Castle, were going to let the Windigoes wreak havok, and other things) but want Discord severely punished instead. I don’t understand that.
And he made up for his mistakes further by actually risking his life several times during the finale, remember he lost his powers, so he was weak, and helpless but regardless he tricked Tirek, which was putting his own neck on the line, (seeing as he tried to blast/kill him) and afterwards aided the Mane 6 & the depowered princesses.
It’s like fans ignore anything good he’s done, while ignoring everything bad the genuine bad guys did. Even if they were reformed, I bet fans would complain about THEM getting off scot-free instead. (That’s what happened with Starlight Glimmer, and she’s STILL a controversial character to this day, and hated by half the fanbase over that.)

I don’t recall Discord ever killing anyone, even back when he was a bad guy, the worst things he’d do is make Big Macintosh think he’s a dog, make it rain chocolate milk, and give rabbits long legs.
And I don’t think stone imprisonment counts as “death,” seeing as that didn’t exactly kill Discord.
Um actually no discord lose his powers, had everypony pissed at him, was dragged around on a chain and was only forgiven when he got the ponies free. Unless u mean punishment like getting being killed or something since u seem to think having your heart in the right place and simply not thinking things through makes someone an evil person who deserves scorn.
Just because Fluttershy is close friends with him should not mean he is immune to scrutiny or punishment, but the show seems to disagrees. He got zero repercussions for his mistakes, he got to live an eternity of happiness with Fluttershy, yet he’s responsible for encasing the mean 3 in stone forever.(He said it himself, don’t come at me saying the ending is left open for interpretation.)
He got off way too easy, and the 3 were punished way too severely, and that is what’s truly infuriating.
Of the examples you listed, Discord’s the only one who actually killed off any characters, who are never shown to come back.

If you can forgive Sunset, Starlight, Trixie, Chrysalis, Tirek, Cozy, ect. for everything they do, then you guys need to get off Discord’s case constantly.
You are a good example of a respectful shipper, somw of them are very obsesive and hate you if you don’t support their OTP.
It was left open for interruptation. So nobody Is right or wrong. So anybody can easily say “ i ship it I veiw it as canon” or “I dont veiw it as such” and nobody who says they veiw it as canon or not would be wrong. But it’s obvious to me personally and alot of other people. Feel free to disagree with fluttercord as long as you arent being a dick about it.
