Somewhat inspired by This Is What It’s Like by 4everfreebrony, along with the established characteristic of Sky that she is fiercely loyal to Celestia, sometimes at the expense of her own well-being.

I spent the last 20 minutes looking but couldn’t find the comic this reminded me of. Where Night Mare Moon impacted the moon in her banishment so hard she was buried in a deep crater. :P
