Time to celebrate guys, we finally got our first canon non binary character in the franchise
I think the term you’re looking for is tokenism.
I have some news for you:
Majority of people don’t give a damn.
Oh wow. They made a non-binary character and then pointed it out like they’re expected to be praised for it.
If you want to be normalized and be treated equal in society then stop acting like everyone else needs to give you special attention.
Twitter pls
The person was literally saying living creatures can not be nonbinary
Overall, I really can’t imagine the people complaining in the comments are being anything but willfully ignorant and malicious. No one is adding genders at random because they feel like it, there are studies beyond this stuff and many identities still being debated. But even if they all existed, why would that be a problem? Why shouldn’t we be accepting? Acceptance is not a limited resource, you don’t run out of acceptance just because you’re already accepting other people. And if you do, if you roll your eyes when you see something new, then I have some news: You were never accepting. You were just a bigot with more patience than others.
Should see what they tried with gender neutral in Portuguese
Ela and Ele “She” and “He” tried to make it “Eli” or “Elu”
“Irmão” and “Irmã” “Brother” and “Sister” “Irmane”
Todas/Todos (Everyone, this is when referencing to multiple males or females when generalizing it is used “Todos”) “Todes”
Still, I don’t see what the big deal is. Dust is NB. That’s nice, but doesn’t really matter. The plot is about Zecora reuniting with her friends and stopping the snake monster. And rehashing the second episode of FiM. Can’t wait for the twist that the snake is the brother of the Zebra king. Dust’s gender isn’t that important.

Probably in the FiM/Transformers crossover comic. ;)
This is EXACTLY why they/them doesn’t work as a singular pronoun, especially to a writer’s eye. It gets confusing to the listener as to what is being referred to. If people want to be NB that’s fine, but there really should be a push for something that makes more sense grammatically…
and its a comic for children and kids, so…… yeah. those where simple times.

Let me rephrase that into ‘MLP hasn’t been ruined by woke culture outside of irrelevant tweets and random episodes. I’m talking about a level that would fully impact or change the course/direction of the show.
Example include:
Marvel
DC
James Bond
RWBY
Ghostbusters
The Last of Us
Star Wars
DEFINITELY RWBY
She-Ra
Call of Duty
Steven Universe
Transformers
GI Joe
RWBY, again
DOOM
The Walking Dead
Charlie’s Angels
Terminator
Powerpuff Girls
A bunch of other properties I’m too lazy to research
And of course, RWBY
Have I mentioned RWBY?
THIS GUY GETS IT
Aight.
What the fuck you on about? Trans just means you don’t identify with the gender you were assigned at birth. That includes non-binary people, several of whom I’m friends with.
It’s much easier.
Transexuality is defined by gender binary or there wouldn’t be anything to transition to.
But trans don’t already have the opposite gender they born?
It would be really rude and insensible to identify them as non binary if they already know what they want to be.
Why you’re associating a group that don’t have gender identification with another that WANT to have the correct one in their soul? Maybe you’re the transphobe for not really understanding them, just remember that your words can be hurtful enough for them so I would edit your comment so you don’t generate any damage to any trans in this site.

Ah there it is.
Someone misusing “transphobes”.
