The Thing About That Giraffe

After the episode ‘Fluttershy Leans In’ I had plans to draw this. Soooo for like two to three years? Took me some time huh.XD

Anywho, just like a few others I was absolutly confused about the giraffe. The seires showed through how they designed the eyes which creature counts as an animal and which isn’t, sentient creatures having a much more detailed eyes (there are some expectations like the cows, but it was shown that they could talk).

So having a giraffe character whith that eye design, no different of how ponies’ eyes look like, but be treated as an animal is…kinda weird. Definitelly odd design choice.

So I decided eh, might as well make a jokey drawing about it (or I guess more like a comic). Also might as well make it a head-canon too.

I do believe there are probably non-sentient girrafes too. Like how if we take the Ticket deers from the comics as canon, but the show had animal acting deers with the simple eye style. If that the case, probably that is what caused the confusion and Clementine just rolled with it. Oh yeah, the name is from Gillian M. Berrow, so I go with that. Giraffe dude doesn’t have a name, currently I just call him Jeff.

Also, the last part is kinda an inside joke, cos I have no idea what a giraffe sound like.XD

Apparently, aside from occasional grunts and snorts, giraffes hum to communicate.
