The door swung open. A large earth pony stallion and a tall, lanky pegasus mare stood there, their height somehow seeming even greater in this moment. Scootaloo swallowed hard, his mouth dry.
“Mum. Dad,” he tried to make his voice as even as possible, aware of how much deeper it was, “I missed you so much”.
The pair looked at him, then at each other, then back at him. Then, before Scootaloo could open his mouth again, two large smiles spread across their faces.
“Oh, my darling boy!” Mane Allgood swept her son up in her wings, “We missed you too!”
“Cripes, look at ya, Scoots!” Snap Shutter wrapped his forelegs around his wife and child, “You’re the spitting image of your old man!”
“Ohhh, he’s much more handsome than that%” Mane responded teasingly, rolling her eyes, “But, oh! We have so much to talk about! Like that new camp you and your friends set up! How many is that now?”
“Four!” Scootaloo chirped back. He could barely hold back tears. Of relief and joy.

So this is something I wrote a little while ago about Scootaloo coming out to his parents, but I thought it deserved its own drawing!
