It was 1935 actually.
Truthfully, I actually liked it, because it was such a crazy, abstract retro cartoon. (Like the stuff that inspired “Cuphead.”) I always liked those weird, crazy, retro, public-domain cartoons as a kid. Alot of ’em actually had good art/animation, creepiness aside.
