Why diet?
 
Some bronies just like the show without being attracted to ponies. Similarly you don’t have to be a xenophile to like Star Wars. They are not furries, not even diet ones.
 
Others, in addition to liking the show (or even despite disliking it), are attracted to ponies. They aren’t diet furries either. They are regular furries by definition.
 
The only way you can reach the “diet” conclusion is if you take the average of these two groups. But this doesn’t represent reality.
