They are actually trying to run away from the cops because Trixie accidentally cast a spell that made Rarity look like Nightmare Rarity and the cops are trying to arrest Nightmare Rarity for her crimes against ponykind. She is not actually Nightmare Rarity, Rarity just looks like Nightmare Rarity.

I know it’s a game but don’t know why the time based story has to feature of Trixie (and the helpers if people buy them) attacking cops even though there not really dying

There are a lot of glitches in this game. First of all, the out fits are just Babysitter Trixie again. Even though you get the bonuses in the community section, the bonuses are not listed next to their corresponding ponies. Also, I do not know if anyone else has this problem, but my game keeps crashing. It does it every second or third time I return to Ponyville. It does not matter from where I return to Ponyville, from another town, from Balloon Pop, from the Activities menu or an Activity therein, from the Events menu or an Event therein, from the Map, even this event page, the game crashes the second or third time I return to Ponyville. And when I say “second OR third,” It is not that I am unsure which one it is, I mean that it will usually crash the second time I return to Ponyville, but if it does not, it will crash the third time.
