Between the pandemics of the Spanish Flu and COVID, face masks weren’t common in most places. Like, they existed, since doctors wear them (and in Japan, it’s considered common courtesy to wear one when you’re sick).

Yeah, I love this drawing because like ten years ago in my country a man became famous when was being in a short interview from a news channel, they were asking the opinion of the people in a bus station about a a government campaign gifting facemasks, the man was asked to put on his mask on live cameras and he did it the way Derpy is doing it in this drawing and all that in front of millions of people, it was hilarious went viral on social media and even got a page with fans and lots of crazy stuff, soon the history of the guy was known and he told that when he was in that interview he didn’t actually know how to correctly use a facemask (he came from a small city where those things aren’t common) https://imgur.com/a/KaaPTlF

Lol yeah. I have both my shots and I still wear mine. I’m at the point where I’m just used to it and I forget I have it on. I’ve worn it all the way into the shower after coming home more than once XD
