Sooo… this is how I think the mane 7 would look like in real life, at least in my opinion , Emote
I used Artbreeder (since a lot of people are using it, I decided to try it too)
also I had a little help with Photoshop as well

For many reasons including the Artstyle. But that’s neither here nor there.
You hate it, not because of the story, but because of the art style?
Okay, I can understand your aesthetic objections, but walk me through how skin tone impacts characterization.

Why would you do that and ruin a perfect picture?
@Background Human
It depends on the style, setting and character in question. While all the mane 6 and cast are multi coloured equines, it doesn’t translate well in a realistic humanised setting. That’s why EQG fails (among other things) with characterisation and having the names of the characters remain the same despite being human.
For this instance, if the artist or some mod decided to change the skin tones to the EQG counterparts, it would dilute and detract from the skill of hand the artist had put into it. Especially with the art style they have.
It’ll be like seeing a painting of a beautiful midnight pastoral grove, but some guy decides he wanted to add a giant sun blazing in the night sky. It offsets the entire mood. That’s how I feel with edits to original works.
If there’s one thing I’ve learned from science fiction, it’s that a hot chick with blue skin is just as hot.
Well hell, give them back their cartoon hair colors and you’d have their look in Seven Days In Sunny June.
Eww no. Why ruin perfection with the ugliness of pastel colouration? There are some pictures where it’ll work, some that don’t. This is one of the cases where it’s the latter.
