That would be great if G5 will start with earth-pony Twilight waking up from a strange dream where she was an unicorn who had amazing adventures with strange friends and at the end became an alicorn ruler of Equestria.

Oh, it reminds me fanfic “Somewhere only we know” which tells a story of a quite old pony, Rainbow Dash, living in a small farm in our world, each night dreaming about being a colorful pegasus soaring through the sky and adventuring with friends.
