Nope! That’s part of her design, depending on which way she’s looking. Several ponies have two different designs for their manes, one for each side of their face, even if some started with only one.
 
I think the most noticeable example of that last bit is Sunset, who didn’t get her second design before Forgotten Friendship. Rarity, meanwhile, had the animators making sure there was consistency to her manestyle from the very first episode.
 
They also frequently mirror said mane designs as they work (possibly based on the rest of their body)—just look at Roseluck’s screencaps here—so good luck with finding out what a character’s ‘canon’ mane design is!
