Often mistaken for lazy, Pastel is a child who was put on this earth to vibe.  
He can fly but seems to prefer the ocean over the sky. He’s a surfer and a good boy.
 
His parents’ RD and DD have never been more than a fling and are now married with other kids. Momma Dash is a Wonderbolt Captain and Double Diamond is a snowboarding instructor so Pastel lives with both and travels a lot to be with each of them or just for the sake of his vagabond lifestyle.  
He prefers his dad and pops much more than his mom as they are around more often and make a huge effort to be with him and show interest in his hobbies. RD loves her son but she’s made her stepdaughter a priority. Pastel’s stepfather Dumbbell is also kinda mean to him so he only really visits Ponyville to be with his 5 BFFs!  
It’s a tricky life, but Pastel isn’t too bothered by this. He’s a very calm person who can make a place his home no matter where he’s living
