Having a good rooster is a blessing. If you can find one nice enough to let you move around without constantly watching your back, you’re a very lucky person. My parents have raised chickens most of my life, and so often the roosters would be outright mean. They never got me, but only because I was extremely wary when we had bad ones and kept some means of defense on me at all times (like a pipe). Everyone else in my family? They’ve got scars.
Don’t f**k with roosters. Hens? Okay, sure. Roosters? No.
Yeah thats one thing a lot of people don’t know; Roosters have a large spur on the back of their feet. Rhode Island Red Roosters have GIANT ones. And they’re very aggressive. My family raised them. They chase you along the walls of the coop bawking at you intimidatingly. Like a watch dog.
