Actually this isn’t that bad. You can obtain a lot of gems without paying any real money fairly easily by replaying the limited time quests when they repeat. Each prize is replaced with 50 gems and that quickly adds up (you can almost make this much on just one limited time quest alone). The bad ones are the ones you can only get directly with real money. Like $30 or $40 for collections of limited time ponies. Now that is bad.
