I hate Sparity. Spike’s an immature kid with a crush, they share little to not interests. If anything she should hook up with Fancypants.
Or maybe she doesn’t end up marrying him. Perhaps she’s arranged to be marrying him but doesn’t want to. Perhaps she wants to end up with Spike (at least some of the writers and producers seem to like Sparity), and passes her test by choosing true love over societal expectations.
Except we sort of know Rarity finds Blueblood (and other male unicorns of his type) attractive, whereas doing anything with Spike is both hopefully illegal and as OC as her suddenly turning lesbian or her being attracted to Hayseed or her wanting to marry a Diamond Dog.

I don’t know Rarity’s would make sense if you switched Blueblood with Spike. Perhaps she learns she’s been arranged to marry him even though she clearly wants Spike and her test is being able to stand up for true love.
She’s already a queen, of the drama variety.
