The way I were told she’s not filly-sized, rather just a smaller mare-sized, which in-universe comes from the Small Frame perk.

I don’t know how it was changed in your language’s translation but it was written openly that one of Red Eye’s slavers was asking what they were doing with a filly, when referring to Pip. Or a comment was made like that.
Well, I read the translation in my native language, it said that she was just short for her age(Probably that she’s a filly was lost in the translation). If I start rereading in English, my brain will die

Well LittlePip is also filly sized so she’s small for even a normal filly. I feel like people forget this.
