I wish I knew the brand name of the stickers I bought back in 2014 to put over all my LEDs (of any color). They’re 98% dark filters that let a fraction of the light through so that you know it’s on when you’re looking but stop it from glowing enough you can see it on your walls.
Cause/cure for this: blue light.
If you can see blue light, your subconscious mind thinks it’s daytime and releases wake up hormones. If you see yellow/orange light, your subconscious thinks it’s sunset and releases sleepy hormones. Try opening a window and looking at the sky when you wake up to help wake yourself up and periodically during the day, specially if you spend most of your time around yellow artificial light. Additionally, get all the blue LEDs out of your bedroom and stay away from them in the 15 minute window before going to sleep. Additionally, many phones now have a ‘night mode’ that switches the color spectrum from a blue to an orange, which you can use or set to happen automatically an hour before you normally go to bed.
