No, its awkward due to only Pinkie is hardlocked to a character as a lover while the others its just hinted or unconfirmed.
Its awkward since out of all the others, only Pinkie got a confirmed lover.

In fact I remember seeing some fans thinking Pinkie might not be the kind of pony to settle down or something.

I think you’re putting too much concern in them all getting treated the same instead of each of them having a different love life. And didn’t people claim that the final hinted at AJ/Dash? That’s half the girls (not including Starlight) taken, so it’s moreso half the girls in that route.
 
Honestly, unless Pinkie’s personality is suddenly “I’m married and have a kid,” it’s not awkward for anyone except to for you.

Given how its pretty awkward only one of the 6(or 7) gets confirmed to have a relationship post-timeskip.  
It would be better to leave all 6(7 counting Spike) ambiguous on if they had a kid with someone or not.  
Since once hand, some fans would be bummed Pinkie Pie is fully locked to Cheese Sandwhich there while the other 5 can still be shipped with anyone. I know you will say “But you can just ignore it and write fics”, but some people can’t ignore canon.  
Leaving all of the girls(and Spike) open in the air if they had a kid with someone or not is better with the fans in general than having only 1 of them having a kid(and be locked in-canon to that someone). Its pretty awkward.

I fail to see how one main character being shipped is an issue. I much rather have one than most.

In terms of the show I mean with the whole shipping thing.  
The writers determine what happens in the show and its pretty awkward they had it so only 1 of the girls had found someone while the other 5 is left up in the air on if they did or not.

While people can always use AU stuff, facts still remain though with in canon unfortunately.  
I am just saying its kind of a bad idea to only have Pinkie Pie to have a kid while leaving it up in the air for the other 5 girls if thats what the writers were intending. And like I said, pretty awkward that Pinkie Pie is apparently the only one of the Mane 6 to happen to have a kid in The Last Problem.

Its just pretty awkward that Pinkie Pie is the only one of the 6 to have married someone.  
At least have two other Mane 6 members get someone if they try to use “not everyone marries someone” crap there.  
While its a win for Cheesepie shippers, other fans who ship Pinkie Pie with someone else would be bummed out, making things pretty awkward how she is the only one of the Mane 6 to have someone.  
I feel like they shouldn’t have had Pinkie Pie be shown to have a kid in The Last Problem, that way they can leave it open on which special somepony did which Mane 6 member had gotten instead of permanently locking one of them to someone.
