That’s a fun orgin story, be cool to see it adapted into artwork or something
In-universe: Twilight was making magical experiments with water from the pond, the same of “Too Many Pinkie Pies”. She didn’t apply it on herself, rather, the water mixed with some magical potions in an explosion caused by Twilight’s drowsiness for not having nice sleeps. This created an unicorn Twilight clone who escaped after Twilight almost used the pond spell on her. After year she came back and assumed a clown identity to differentiate from her.
IRL explanation: Because I often roleplayed withtout actually taking a character, I was referred by my username. Eventually I used a Twilight with clown make-up as an avatar I eventually wun out with the whole “Twilight as a clone” thingy, so she was created by accident both in and out universe.
She just won’t accept it.
