Headcanon backstory (TW: homophobia, abuse, suicide):
 
Pinkie was born on a boring rock farm, gets her cutie mark after seeing a rainboom and throwing a party for her family. Her family gets annoyed by her party pony nature after a while and arrange her a marriage with a colt from the richest family in Rock County. She sent to live with him for a while before they decide whether they really want to get married or not. Pinkie and the colt become great friends, but they simply can’t fall in love. While there, Pinkie also meets the teenage bisexual maid witch, Moon Broom, whom she develops a crush on. Moony tells Pinkie that she’s a lesbian (and other colt also discovers he’s gay, but he’s not important) and so on the alter Pinkie straight up says ‘‘no’’ and says that she wants to marry a filly instead. Now, Rock County is a really homophobic place, because we’ve gotta have that spicy trauma, so Pinkie is returned to her family and soon after kicked out of her own home after several days of her parents trying to convince that her sexuality was wrong and that she wasn’t what she said she was.
 
At first it was really hard for her to be on her own, but soon she picked up her old party pony self, using her ability to cheer up ponies to get money and thus Pinkie’s late childhood and early to mid teens were spent traveling around Equestria. She discovered the rest of the world was much more accepting of her love of fillies and everything seemed perfect.
 
But of course, spontaneously traveling across the country and viciously partying isn’t really the best lifestyle for a gay teen, who just escaped their homophobic household. Pinkie felt like she had no one to rely on and she was literally homeless. She suffered a depressive episode and ended up returning to Rock County, begging her family to return her home. Her sisters convinced their parents to take Pinkie back, but not even a month later she was kicked out again, because she wasn’t working hard enough.
 
Pinkies Pie ended up in Ponyville after that. She would mop around the streets as a depressed homeless mare and she would often snap at ponies, who tried to help her. At some point she had had enough and attempted to take her own life in a forest nearby one night, only to wake up next morning with what appeared to be an angel pony flying over head. When she became fully conscious she realized she was in the yard of a seemingly abandoned cottage at the end of Ponyville. This incident sort of inspired her to take her life into her hooves and she got a job at the local bakery that afternoon and the owners (Mr. and Mrs. Cake) let her live there considering she was homeless.
 
The rest of her backstory is meeting Applejack and Rarity and befriending them, followed by Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash. Eventually, Twilight came along and the show happened.
 

 
Random facts:
 
-Pinkie and Marble actually have different birthdays since they were born at around midnight
 
-Since Moon Broom was a witch, Pinkie asked her to do a tarot card reading for her once, to see how the love of her life looked like and Moony ended up describing Fluttershy, but since the two of them have similar appearances Pinkie assumed Moon was talking about herself, which intensified Pinkie’s crush and made the rejection more painful.
 
-As you might have guessed, the ‘‘angel pony’’ that Pinkie saw flying above her when she woke up from her suicide attempt was Fluttershy. It had just happened that Flutters was in the forest that faithful night and found Pinkie Pie unconscious and decided to help her. When the pink pony started to wake up, Shy panicked and just left her.
 
-The way Pinkie and Flutters were formally introduced was when she along with AJ and Rarity were going on a walk around town and they came across the cottage Pinkie had found herself that one morning. She questioned them about it, but they just told her it had been abandoned for years and now only animals occupied it. She didn’t believe them fully so later that day she came back and Fluttershy actually had enough courage to open the door. From then on Pinkie tried her best to befriend Shy, help her expand and sort of be her life coach after years of isolation and social anxiety.
