I know this is kind of a big shout-out to mauroz, but really any humanized artist in this fandom could make some fascinating character designs for the new show. I simply chose mauroz because I think he’s expertly weaved the wings, tails, and horns into the characters, instead of just bluntly slapping them on as if its normal. But what about you? If you could choose an artist from the fandom to make the designs for the spin-off series, who would you chose and why?

How about we shorten that to “North American.”
So sad. :(
or it could end the argument for all of time. Just Saiyan.
SS2Sonic’s or Shepherd’s styles would be perfect for EG.
this. My only other vote goes to gomigomipomi.
Yeah, I was just being pedantic about it.:)
My mistake, but you get what I mean.
To be completely pedantic about it, technically it’s Canadian animation, not American. Well, Canadian and Filipino, if we include Top Draw Animation (and we should – those guys don’t get nearly enough credit).
I strongly agree with this.
Normally, I would agree with @Grieffon, but considering the IP, Hasbro is trying to target teenagers. If this was Japan, I could see Shep’s designs working, but we’re talking american animation, and LivingMachine is some of the best translation of FiM’s design to Humans I’ve seen.
Cause Hootershy and Boobjack? This show should be for teen girls after all and not teen boys.
THIS, A MILLION TIMES THIS!
WHY NOT THIS!?
The styles we’re discussing would probably be too expensive to animate, though. Shame. At least we can hope the plot’s decent.
To be fair to Megasweet, much as I’m not a fan of much of the type of erotica he draws, his Equestrian Girls comic is excellently drawn – not to mention clean (sexually speaking) – and it looks like it might be perfect for animation.
@Erebien
And I have pictures, too! :D
Dangit, you beat me to it by a minute, splendidly.
He also has some interesting ideas about differentiating the various pony species while humanized:
