I just watch LPs.
Still just a first playthrough so I might leave it a bit late to found a kingdom. You just have to denounce your king/kahn/semi-elected offical after he doesn’t give you a castle, right?
Either way, I’d love to get rid of all the turtling Rhodoks just so sieges would be more fun and fighting 1000 vs 300 doesn’t feel like I’m some sort of hybrid between Odysseus, Hanibal, Saladin, Genghis Kahn and William Wallace.
I take it you’re pretty seasoned. Can you recommend any challenges or fun for a second playthrough? Maybe some good mods?
Which is why you likely won’t get anywhere unless you have a kingdom of your own. Usually it’s the Vaegirs and Swadians who get killed off by the Nords early on. Sometimes it’s the Khergits who roll over the northern Sarranid and eastern Vaegir lands.
Currently on my first playthrough as a Nord Vassal. While I’m stuck in a stalemate trying to claim castles in Rhodok territory and Swadiania just because, the bloody Khergits have pretty much rolled north like they were the Red Army! They’ve already taken Curaw and the local castles and are starting to push up towards Khudan. And they’re successfully campaigning while also at war with the Rhodoks…
Attacking in sieges with them is usually a joke, you’re right. But when they defend you could probably confuse your troops for chickens with the amount of arrows sticking out of them. And their javelins usually find their mark too…
Khergits suck in sieges. That’s where the Nords excel at. Rhodoks have the best castle defenses.
Swadians and Sarranids are great on field. Swadian territories are always pretty vulnerable to attacks being situated in the middle of the region surrounded by two overpowered factions, Nords and Rhodoks.
It’s because Swadin knights and Nord hurscarls are bad motherfuckers with some of the best armor and melee weapons in the game.
That and Khergits are overpowered - Highly mobile, deadly accurate light horse archers, and dangerously powerful lancers who can theoretically 1 hit KO most troops
It’s all either Swadians or those Nords.
