Haha, I was actually gonna have her head fall off too, since I did have the scene from Futurama in my mind as well (this one) and it was supposed to be silly, but kinda ended up being darker than I intended, I guess. Also, I totally forgot about that Spongebob scene, thanks for reminding me it exists.

Not really, other than I started with the basic sprite and just wanted to make something silly/weird. I guess it was also inspired by the whole “bald Velvet” thing which has happened multiple times in the game’s history as bugs. Now it’s just been embraced as a bit of a meme.
