You’re So Little!
The path was leading forward, Frolic and Blossom didn't knew exactly where they were going, but for them that was part of the thrill. It must lead to an interesting place, maybe a new town with different opportunities. There was time for everything, no need to worry about what's going to happen, there are other things that can make their journey wholesome.

"Where do You think will be our next stop, Frolic?" Blossom asked her companion, who was spacing out very often, trying to notice anything in the forest, behind the leaves, on the trees. He's usually full of energy, but boredom probably got the best of him. It was obvious he wanted something to surprise them. "Maybe You want to detour?"

Frolic didn't realize he was asked a question. Only after a moment he snapped out and looked at Blossom with a puzzled expression.

"What? A detour..?" A spark of life appeared inside of him. It felt like something interesting finally was about to happen. A smile appeared on his face. "Sounds like a wonderful idea! Roads are for boring folks. We're way better than that, right?"

"So You're saying You're not boring?" A cheeky smile challenged Frolic, he was ready to prove himself.

"You just wait! You'll be so entertained that nothing else will be able to give You this amount of fun!"

As he said that, he started running towards the forest and Blossom shortly followed after. Frolic was way faster than her, most of his life was based on adventures and moving around. She was not. Most of her knowledge didn't come from experience but from theory. From books and stories. Whenever there was something actually going on, Frolic was always there with her. That was one of the reasons why she loved his company so much.

Frolic disappeared behind the trees, but he was loud enough to give away his position, so it wasn't too much of a problem. As she was trying to catch up, she noticed a blue light flickering nearby. Her first assumption was that it was Frolic's magic, so she started moving towards it.

"You really like running away from me, don't Y-"

She stopped when she noticed that it wasn't the red stallion. Right in front of her there was a small little creature, it's cuteness forced a smile on Blossom.

"Aww..! You're so little!"

The reaction wasn't reciprocated, the fairy was scared of the big horse, but the curiosity held her in place. It was silently looking at the blue mare, not knowing what to do.

They were both watching each other without saying a word. Blossom knew a little about fairies, but never actually came across one. In the corner of her eye she saw a slowly approaching Frolic, who decided to check what was taking Blossom so long to get to him.

"I see You're good at getting into interesting situations without me" He was talking calmly, he didn't want the fairy to fly away. His voice became quiet and soothing. "Hello friend. What are You doing here all alone?"

It looked like the fairy calmed down a bit.

"I'm not alone! It just... looks like I'm alone! Better stay away or my family will take care of You!"

With it's high pitched voice the threat didn't sound intimidating at all. Frolic smiled at the creature.

"We're not here to harm You, if anything, maybe there's something that we can help You with? If there are no other fairies around, it must mean something must have forced You to get so far away from home"

The fairy was surprised by the kindness of the red horse. It's attitude changed almost immediately.

"Oh! Yes, yes! My home! It's infested! Attacked! We don't know what to do..!"

Blossom and Frolic looked at each other, knowing very well that there's something important to be done. The blue mare decided to speak now.

"What infested Your home, little one?"

The quiet cry of a blue and pink fairy made them worried. Something so fragile and small didn't deserve a trouble like this. It seemed that this short conversation was enough for it to trust them.

"Come with me! You have to do something!"

And with this the fairy started flying deeper into the forest, leaving the two ponies no choice but to see what this whole situation is about.
