Welp preety tragic.

It hurts more than what is displayed currently. Here, a brother who once thought that he and Tirek were doing the right thing…but when Scorpan finds out that the ponies are not what they seem, Scorpan is torn by a choice: Betray the ponies and break his heart more, or to betray his brother by telling the truth about their plans. And once Tirek descends into Tartarus begging Scorpan to help him, Scorpan does not lissten not by choosing a side, but knowing for a fact that Tirek brought the consequences of his actions on himself while Scorpan knew full well Tirek was wrong or misguided.
 
That’s what makes emotional pain more unbearable. Knowing that you followed alongside a person whom you loved or respected and they decided to lead you down a path to which you cannot go down and have to make a choice: Follow them and be damned, or choose to do the right thing.
 
…I went through something similar and, I can vouch for Scorpan’s feelings.
