NG-Fancy Pants
Fancy Pants is still one of the top heads of elite Canterlot society, however he stands as a strange light among them. He’s incredibly kind and caring to all those around him, even if some of their methods or manners are a bit strange to him. Fancy is always willing to indulge in a request for advice or simply to listen to a grievance, he often listens to the complaints of certain businesses and will later make an appearance putting a bug into a manager’s ear in order to change things for the better. Fancy doesn’t operate like a majority of Canterlot’s elite, and has helped many of the young foals in his family learn that whatever path they choose, they are valuable and worthy, being rich or high society isn’t the only way to be happy.

There was a point in his marriage with Fleur De Lis that was an incredibly dark spot on both their lives. While Fancy is kind and caring, it was often done in silence or behind the scenes, he was very good at acting the elite role that was expected of him, but due to his highschool friendship with Shining Armor, he quickly learned that he didn't want to be the stallion his parents raised him to be. His marriage to Fleur wasn't one of love, it was arranged between the two's parents, and Fancy only accepted because it was for the betterment of a Canterlot charity, a facet of the deal for the two unicorns, and after limited interaction he believed he could learn to love the beautiful pink mare. 


Fleur was groomed to be the perfect high society trophy wife, seen and never heard except to compliment the opinion of her betters. It drove her to a very dark place, one that nearly cost the mare her life, and afterwards she and Fancy rebuilt themselves to be the change they both desperately wanted to see.
