Art Inspirations
So this started as a watcher gift thing but kinda developed into a gift for those that have had a pretty big impact on my art and how I feel about my work, and those that inspire me to keep going and get better, explore more. So I wanted to continue to practice with references and try to mold my style with the referenced work and I’m kinda getting there, but these were all so much fun to do, and know that I appreciate each and every one of you (even though I’m generally terrible at interacting due to my high anxiety, forgive me OTL).

Okay from top to bottom and left to right:

Royal Ribbons for Vile-Flesh: Vile is so lovely and encouraging and has love in spades for this show and community. I constantly get introduced to new ponies and have come to love Twinkleshine and Minuette! I hope to add more of the rare mares to my nextgen 😁

incomingtrouble Rocky Road: I adore your art style and especially love the way you choose colors, they always look amazing and go so well together. Your nextgen designs are so wonderful and unique and I can’t wait to see more!

Lily Valley for StartledFlowerPony: I love your art style and the way your not afraid to experiment and try new things and you also have a love for the rare mares of the show and that always helps me fall in love with the show just a bit more. I honestly associate Lily more with you that I do as a canon show character!

glitchthunder Flowing River: You have such a unique and recognizable style and I love so many of your characters it was hard to pick just one! I admire the way you do your shading and lighting, it really brings your art to life and it’s so soft and natural. Always love seeing your art :3

kindheart525 ponysona: I super admire Kindheart’s work and the way you’re not afraid of expanding your stories and world and taking on the not so happy side of things. Your nextgen is one of my main inspirations for writing stories and now I’m obsessed with the Heather’s musical so thanks for that too ;D

atlantropa Tickle: Your AU is so inspiring and I love the idea of Phantasia and of course I adore Tickle and love to see your nexgen babies! Also still have to praise your work because it’s so recognizable and good and I can tell how much work you put into it! Can’t wait to see more of anything you do 🙂

Venommocity Venom: I don’t know why but I fell super hard in love with Venom’s design and I love her attitude also I immensely enjoy your headcanons for the universe and the cute ship art, it’s been wonderful watching you improve and it makes me want to get better too!

meowthatsme Honey Dusk: I love your art and you are one of the main reasons I’ve wanted to try and get better at anthros! It’s been so cool watching you improve and I am fascinated by your 3D models, they look so cool and one of these days I want to make a little anthro sona to practice with 😁

And of course I can’t do this without mentioning Kalimoo-Art and Imuzo characters Naqua and Yami: Kali was really my first watcher on here and it wasn’t until my first interaction with her that I became active in art again! Kali and Izu were the reason I’ve been so happy being back on DA again and why I’ve been so determined to return and stick with art, so they forever have my thanks and appreciation!
