Description

Making a paper boat can be difficult if you are smaller than a sheet of paper. Twilight managed to make one that can hold her own weight!

And… It’s finished! A tiny challenge where instead of one finished drawing I made six quick ones came to an end. Initially I was aiming for one upload every day, but it quickly became too difficult. I started making one every two days instead, which was still not easy, but at least possible.

I think that the biggest mistake was trying to make all six of them look 3d. If I made them 2d, I wouldn’t have to worry about shadows, details and backgrounds so much, and everything would look much better.

The second thing was the weird theme. I made ponies tiny because pixels are tiny, so I thought it would fit. I chose to put them outside in the rain because I’ve never seen anyone do that particular theme, and it was easy to come up with their adventures. I realised too late that it would be difficult to fill that tiny world with anything. Everything I was used to drawing small, like grass, now had to be big. Now I can’t wait to start making things normal-sized again!

And the last problem was my time limit. Usually I spend longer than I want to admit with my cursor over the “submit” button, looking at my drawing, checking if every pixel is in its place and if description is short enough to not have any grammar errors.
The truth is, pixels are never in their places. There is no artwork of mine that I would consider 100% finished, but I had to upload them eventually. In this challenge I wasn’t making any corrections. The first version was the final one. If I forgot something or made a mistake- it stayed that way. That’s why some may look unfinished. (And because I got a little tired of drawing for so many days in a row, I admit.) I was also writing the description during drawing to make sure it was longer than two words. Uploading my drawings is always stressful to me, and with this challenge I was mainly aiming to get more used to it.
Thank you for all your comments, upvotes and faves. You can look forward to my drawings looking more finished in the future.

Being able to navigate restrictions really exercises those creative muscles, so good on you for sticking with it till the end! And for giving (some) of the mane 6 some fun times in the rain ;p
