The nail polish is actually kinda cute, but this definitely gets a yikes otherwise. I’d always thought Darien’s entire artstyle was pretty heavily inspired/influenced by kuroi’s with a lot of his early work just being redraws

I remember there being a controversy in the past,if I remember correctly Kuroi-wolf was okay with it.  
That was several years ago,though. Maybe they said this was awful and stop it.

They do look similar to that pic I commissioned from Kuroi, yeah. I imagine this artist used the poses as reference to help them make their own work - whether they spoke with Kuroi about it first or not though, I honestly couldn’t say.

They definitely are. This is exactly the way Kuroi draws. However though the DA image link says that these were originally done 4 years ago and are just now getting uploaded here. I’ll assume that the original artist may have requested permission to redraw them or some sort of deal was worked out or they would have all probably been taken down by now for stealing. Kuroi’s art is too familiar with many to not recognize.
