We need more non-pony villains. And more non-pony species in general. I know this is “My Little Pony”, but variety to it. There was a distinct lack of non-pony species shown in Season 3.

I doubt that Tyrant Sparkle is too far out of the question for them.
 
It might be too out of question for the writers though, because they have to do it in an interesting way.
 
Twi becoming evil because “IMMA PRINCESS NOW AND THE POWER’s GONE TO MY HEAD BLARGH!” seems kinda lame by the show’s usual standards. I imagine that if they wanna go that route, they’d do something like she’s been possessed by Sombra/some new villain!
 
or replaced by Chrysalis/some new unique changeling villain!
 
or that it’s Twilight from an alternate universe/bad future!
 
Or something like that. Point is Twily’s obviously not going to be evil forever, so we gotta make it interesting.

Aside from Sombra, they were given 2-parters.  
Including Sombra (personal opinions may vary) they were significant villains.
 
And the correct term for the others would be “antagonist”.

Discord is an embodiment of chaos. Although he appeared male, he can be both or neither as he pleases.
