Bobrella, Yorec, and I were talking about meeting up at EQLA, but it was very brief and very hypothetical.

We have Gencon here in Indy every year, although I’ve never seen a Brony exclusive con come through(read about a meetup in Carmel, but I use buses).

I live in brazil, so yeah, fat chance I’ll get to attend a con. The closest i’ve been to were a few otaku (Japanese cuture stuff) conventions.

I made a rule never to leave any real world evidence of me being a brony, so that includes possibility of getting filmed at brony meetup that someone may post on the Internet.

There are three conventions in Ohio in the three major cities: Cutie Mark Con in Cincinnati, Trotcon in Ohio, and Canterlot Gardens (stuck in limbo, as I was wailing below) in Strongsville outside Cleveland. I’d say that rather than complaining, you should realize you are in a prime location to hit the Mid-West con scene.

I would love to go to a convention. But money seems to be a problem since I live paycheck to paycheck. Plus living out in Ohio doesn’t help either.

I’m hoping to go to Canterlot Gardens this fall, as last year was great fun, but unfortunately one of the big sponsors dropped out and the Kickstarter they have does not look like it’ll meet its goal… people just don’t want to donate after the Unicon disaster it seems. It’s mystifying they are even in this situation to begin with, as it is the biggest of the three cons held in Ohio and was a huge success, made a good impression with the VIPs and cast as well, so I’d think maintaining funds and finding sponsors would be a non-issue.
 
If this doesn’t happen, then I suppose I’ll just go to Trotcon or maybe even Bronycon, but I’d rather not drive that far - more money spent on gas is less for the dealers gallery.

If I had the means to travel halfway across the country I’d consider going to a con.

Let’s just say anyone who was at last year’s Bronycon in the summer might have known me as the hash slinging slasher

I can’t afford to go to cons outside of my home state of Georgia, and I don’t know of any MLP-specific ones here.

I’m going to try someday to go to one of the conventions in Ohio or Chicago. I live in south Michigan, so it’s only a 3-4 hour drive.

I’ve been to January 2012 BronyCon, and Everfree Northwest. I’ve also organized a few meetups in my hometown.
 
I had an awesome time at the conventions last year, and I’m definitely planning on EFNW this year, too. I’d like to do another con, too, but I’m not sure if it’ll be BronyCon, Fiesta Equestria (Hey Ocean is going to be there!) or Nightmare Nights.
 
They’re a lot of fun, especially if you plan on meetup up with and hanging out with friends there.

Aww, that’s a shame! It does help to know a few more outgoing folks. Not too outgoing, but it does help break the ice a bit. It’s also really easy to start conversations. You know everyone there loves ponies!

I helped found a brony group in Bath, UK. We meet every week or so and go to the pub, play pool and get horribly drunk. It’s awesome.

I live in the UK so the only one I would probably go to is that BUCK one.

Okay, on topic now. No I haven’t gone to any meetups or conventions. I live in the middle of nowhere, hundreds of miles from any city large enough to have a decent Pony con. Also, I don’t like a lot of the pony-fans in my local area despite my being indirectly responsible for making Pony popular here (I converted my region’s #1 fan, but then had a falling-out over stuff not remotely pony-related).
 
You know what they say: there’s no one more fanatical about something than a convert.
 
If I could afford to get to one of the big cons, I’d be tempted, but pony cons are WAY more expensive than the big anime cons I already can’t afford to go to.

I have a gaming headset with a really high quality mic and the mic hardly ever gets used.

Someone tries to talk to me and I end up trying to be as quiet as I can.

I live in Germany and would LOVE to go to the Galacon.  
But i recently lost my job and i can’t afford it. :(

I don’t cause I am very busy and don’t care to pay for conventions :I

Personally I will be at bronycon, big apple ponycon, and I go to any NYC meetups if I have the time.
