They’re supposed to be earth ponies because they broke away from the earth pony tribe.
the original three yeah. This bat pony is separate from them, much like how the other pony species in the show are separate from the earth ponies. I just thought it would be neat to see something different :)
Probably because they’re based off of real ponies, and they’re all earth ponies.
now that doesn’t really make sense! I don’t understand why they would have to all be earth ponies, that’s like saying a unicorn doesn’t count as a pony because it has a horn :P
I think in this case it’s less “eww bat pony” and more “but they’re all earth ponies, because… reasons!”
I know she looks kinda dead eyed ahahaaaa. I wanted to try and make a bat version cause I hadn’t seen one yet, but I forgot that the mlp board vehemently hates bat ponies :’)
