I’d understand if there was a less-bs explanation like her trusting the Wonderbolts to handle it, them being all out of magic range by the time she saw they couldn’t, and being way too slow a flier to go and get them herself, leaving Dash as the best qualifed to save them all.
Plausible and excusable, right there. Every screwed scenario doesn’t have to be Part of the Plan.
Answer is simple dear boy: If she did it would have destroyed the episode’s lesson. Not a good answer but it’s the one.
