My Little Sleeper, My Little Sleeper…

How telling is it that the one Stormcloak playthrough I made was for the most bugfuck evil of my characters? XD

Still, can’t fault his gear or voice acting!

Speaking of, if the Imperials take over Riften, why does Maven, who I’ve been told is the most corrupt woman, the JARL of that city?

Agreed. I talked to a lot of the citizens of Skyrim, and I came to the conclusion that the Stormcloaks are no more than a group of religious terrorist extremists.

To be fair, as a whole, neither side is in the wrong. While the Imperials sided with the Thalmor, if they didn’t, the entire Empire would have been destroyed by them, and they are keeping a majority of the Thalmor out. They also tried to kill you in the beginning because your character crossed the border illegally. The Stormcloaks are fighting because Talos is a huge part of Skyrim tradition, and almost anyone is willing to fight for what they believe in. In reality, the Thalmor are evil because they put up the law that prevented people from worshiping Talos, and not a single Thalmor soldier is helping the Imperials. They want the Empire under their foot, so they’re letting them weaken themselves due to civil war.

But if you put a gun to my head, I’d say the Stormcloaks are the wrong, mostly due to Ulfric himself. He’s only using this fiasco about Talos to become the leader of Skyrim, not because he wants Talos worship to still be allowed. I don’t think he’ll be a good leader at that…. And that is why I joined the Stormcloaks.

Here’s another fun fact for Stormcloak diversity:

Going Stormcloak puts an Argonian as steward of Morthal. Agonians forever!

Besides, going Imperial improves social classes in a grand total of 0 holds…

Fun fact, Windhelm has the highest diversity out of all the holds in Skyrim. Heck, there are 2 Altmer that live there and they are doing just fine because they have proven themselves useful and arent just a burden. The Dunmer get pushed around because they haven’t really done anything other than take up space.

I’m a Red Guard and I joined the Imperials.
And hell I love the Red Guard.
Higher resistance from poison can be the line between life and death.

From what I can tell, Ulfric isn’t the racist part of the Stormcloaks. Any race (since player character never mentions that he is dragonborn) can join, and second in command bear hat man says he’s only just a tad suspicious when you ask to join (because an Altmer joining could be a Thalmor spy). Plus, douchey racist dude you can fist-fight on entering Windhelm (or with knives to the death, as my Bowler assassin did trololol) admits that Ulfric invited the dark elves as refugees. Makes me think it’s just Nord goat-headedness down at the lower levels…

Plus, the Thalmor dossier says Ulfric is useful only because he’s prolonging a war that weakens mankind, but he’s resisted Thalmor collusion repeatedly and is noted as “hostile”

Well, technically, he IS a dragon, what with the soul and all. XD

Also, Imperial or Stormcloak, everyone hates the Thalmor. One of my last acts with my Knight Templar Imperial was scouring Skyrim of all the remaining Thalmor agents. XD

I remember on /v/ people were keeping character journals when Skyrim came out

One person played a … none too bright Argonian named Dullest-Claw-on-Hand

He believed dragonborn meant he was supposed to become a dragon. So he learned Fire magic, got armor that looked like scales and tried to emulate a dragon as deeply as an otherkin would in a place that actually has magic.

To be fair, I wasn’t above letting the Thalmor succumb to… ‘accidents’. Being the stealthy mage thief, no one could ever pin anything on me.

And honestly, I think the Thalmor are the biggest jerks in all of elves. In any media. For one reason only: They stole the PLAYER’S credit for solving the Oblivion Crisis.
