But anyway, these aren’t canon.
They probably leave the meat for the creatures in the Everfree Forest, as tribute. In return, the Forest dwellers permit Ponyville to exist.
They are vegetarians, how can they have meat product names?
Or she just made that part up. I mean, what animals are on a farm? Pigs and cows. So they draw pigs and cows, and don’t think about the why.
When people ask what the pigs are for, she says “Truffles! Yeah, that’ll do fine”.
